Neither the brazen winters on Penumbra nor the sheepish ones on Earth could keep Abraham Morrison inside. Whether it be the towering giants in a wood or the plants in a garden or the dancing vines of a rainforest, the comfort of the outdoors felt like a warm hug. Until his stepfather adopted him at the age of three, Abe knew no family and stuck to his bare instincts to survive. The bond he and Roy would later share was immeasurable; it truly helped mold Abe into a brave man. Though rejected much of his youth for being different, Abe learned that his avid love of nature came from the rare ability to communicate with plants and trees. So, standing among the elements felt more like home than the walls of any dormitory. Abe’s resolution to changing environments all his life made him a great informal transition agent for those attending the college from Earth. Embracing this new role, Abe is seen as a benign and friendly face around campus. He may not know his real parents, but the family and connections he has made at the College of Adarius have blossomed into something he never believed possible, something he aims to build on for the next generation of mages.
